I grew up in Northern Virginia, and many July 4th days were spent at Wolf Trap Pavilion watching the Airmen of Note play. It was my first exposure to "Big Band" style of music. The musicians were very talented and under appreciated. I have a collection of most of their works (difficult to get, but worth the time!). This release is one of my favorites, and features Tim Eyermann on Sax in "A Certain Smile".
I hope you enjoy these great recordings!!
